Avoid black rose by any means I was extremely disappointed during my visit to blackrose fallchurch virginia From the moment I walked in, the service was subpar. The waiter was incredibly disrespectful and seemed to have no interest in providing good service. When I asked where to sit I was met with eye rolls and dismissive look To make matters worse, the manager was no better. It was clear that they didn't care about their customers at all. I witnessed them ignoring complaints from other patrons as well. The atmosphere was supposed to be inviting, but the attitude of the staff made it incredibly uncomfortable. Save your money and time, and go somewhere that values its customers.

I strongly advise avoiding Black Rose based on my experiences over the past four years. I began visiting shortly after the new ownership took over and revamped the establishment, and for a while, we were loyal regulars. Unfortunately, the service quality has declined to the point where we can no longer justify returning. On multiple visits, we were given inconsistent and unreasonable explanations regarding seating arrangements, including what felt like ghost reservations and last‑minute excuses that made no sense. Although we tried to be patient and overlook these issues in the past, our most recent encounters made it clear that this is an ongoing pattern rather than an occasional oversight. What was most disappointing was the lack of professionalism from management. Instead of attempting to de‑escalate or resolve the situation, the manager doubled down on the same illogical reasoning, making it clear that our business was neither valued nor appreciated. For the prices customers pay, the service should reflect respect and consistency—neither of which we received. If it were possible to give a rating lower than one star, I would confidently give negative five out of five. It seems the establishment operates under the assumption that customers have nowhere else to go, and that mindset shows in the declining service and disregard for customer experience. They appear to have little interest in preserving their business reputation.

I had a really disappointing experience here. Walking in felt very awkward and unwelcoming. There were only a few people inside, and what looked like a group of about 8 people enjoying themselves turned out to actually be the staff sitting together, eating and smoking hookah. No one greeted us or acknowledged us when we walked in. We were left standing there trying to figure out where to sit. Eventually, a woman came up to us and immediately asked if we were 21. We showed our IDs, and without any further guidance or even a proper welcome, she just asked what hookah flavor we wanted no menu, no explanation, and we were still standing trying to understand what was going on. The whole time, the bartender and server were just staring at us, which made the atmosphere even more uncomfortable. It didn’t feel like our presence or time was valued at all, so we decided to leave. It’s unfortunate because the space itself is actually really nice and has a lot of potential. However, the service especially for a Saturday night needs serious improvement. A more professional, attentive, and welcoming staff would make a huge difference.

Amazing food! Great place to spend a Friday night, great music and friendly staff. Felt like home among our Ethiopian brothers and sisters. Thanks for a beautiful night!

Stopping by here while on a road trip was totally unexpected good times. I was leaving from D.C. on a Sunday and was wanting a adult drink and to vibe out a little. Google brought up Black Rose as a suggestion. It is about 20-30 away from downtown. But after getting to the parking lot, I could tell I found the right place for a vibe. Music could be heard from outside and there was a little line of gorgeous people wanting to enter the establishment. Once in, my attention was directed to the my right where the band was getting down on making the crowd move. Turning my head back to the bar area, it was people wrap around it. Continuing on there were people in booths, at all the high tables, and just sprinkled throughout the lounge. Though it was a mixed crowd, you could tell it was an Ethiopian heaven. It was really a good energy felt amongst everyone. Couple things I will say is that though I like loud music, It was extremely loud to the point, I went outside to the seating area to finish enjoying my drink and vibing out. Other thing that bothered me was the cleanliness of the bathroom. I'll that it that and move on. The bartenders were not only extremely gorgeous they made some strong drinks. I mean, make you look up at them like "what the heck, you made that drink!" It was free to get in, staff was quick on taking orders, it was a vibe. I highly recommend Black Rose if in the D.C. area.
