I had been here many years ago with some colleagues. I’m so glad I suggested this to get together with friends. We had such a great time having lunch, even experienced the “sobremesa,” a testament to how Spanish cultures know how to live. We started with a salad, the crispy bananas and the empanadas, all excellent. For mains, we had the Cuban paella mariscos, ropa vieja, the LB of ribs with their different sauces. We just had to add a classic Cubano sandwich. So hard to resist! For dessert we had the chocolate rum cake and the bananas with ice cream. With coffees, of course. What a meal. The service was attentive and gracious. Our server was very accommodating and patient with us. It was a sunny day with a light breeze. We sat on the patio. Thank goodness there was no loud music to compete with our conversation. What more could we have asked for? I think I’ll come back and have a cubano sandwich again.

La Bodeguita is such a fun spot and a great addition to the local dining scene. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and you really feel the energy the moment you walk in. The food is flavorful and comforting, with dishes that feel authentic and thoughtfully prepared. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. It is the kind of place that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for gathering with friends. If you are looking for vibrant flavors and a warm vibe, La Bodeguita is definitely worth a visit.
unique spot, they have a smoke room, bar, indoor/outdoor seating. The paella was phenomenal! I just wish there was a single portion of it or a few more menu options, but overall a great experience.
A hidden gem in Palo Alto. Cuban comfort food with a very unique touch..there’s even a cigar room tucked away in the back where you can relax and help yourself. The atmosphere feels authentic, warm, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Staff and guests alike were extremely friendly, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot worth discovering if you’re in the area.
The appetizers were really good but both entrees were average. We did not like the Arroz con pollo, it was just mushy and didn’t enjoy the taste of the chicken. The plantains that came with it was delicious. We left the chicken as is and just ate the rice with plantains. The drinks are great and service is nice too. Food is 4 stars, except for the chicken dish which is 2 stars.
