I had an appointment in Gainesville. And I fancied a cigar afterwards. Smitty’s is awesome! Very clean nice establishment! Great selection. Will definitely be back there when I have my next appointment in Gainesville. 10/10 Cool guys, great humor! Very welcoming. Also very comfortable seats.

I went in to this lounge a few days ago, looking for my usual flathead 554 cigars. The humidor was only about 30% stocked, empty boxes in all the other places on the shelves. It honestly looked like the place was going out of business. When I ask the tobacconist for a suggestion of what cigars may be similar, I was greeted with “probably the ones on the shelf next to it”. When I pressed him to go show me, he reluctantly went in the humidor and pointed at the ones next to it, which happened to be 770 Cigars and not the same at all as the ones I was looking for. It seems like every time I stop by this place the staff acts like it’s bothersome for them to assist a customer. Also, the ventilation system in this lounge is nonexistent. I’ve never been in a cigar lounge that the smoke was so thick you couldn’t see across the room. I’m not sure if their vent fans just aren’t capable of the size of the room or if they just don’t have any expect to change your clothes if you’re in there three minutes or more I would also say their air-conditioning seems to be lacking. The place is clean and could be a really nice lounge. If some more attention was paid to their customer service their Inventory and the air quality (Good luck getting any room notes from any cigars in this place. It’s pretty much a collective stale smoke smell).

Just visited 3/20. Been a few times before with a good experience but not this time. Place look like it’s going to hell quickly. Humidor is about 60% empty boxes where there were not just empty spaces. I don’t know if they are going out of business or cannot afford to restock. The air was not on except the exhaust fan. You cannot run a cigar bar without the AC running. Maybe they cannot afford it or it was not functioning. I call into question when the filtration was changed. The smell was so thick I had to go home and change clothes immediately upon leaving. If you are not going to run the business correctly sell it to someone who can do it. The staff changes over faster than I change my underwear. How about offering better service. If you want another drink go stand at the bar until someone shows up to serve you.

Seems like a nice place. I stopped in on a referral from a cigar smoker in the area. The lounge area is nice, but there were only a handful of smokers, and the place seemed a little smokey for such a small group of smokers. Could be a ventilation issue, or maybe a larger group had recently left. Not a big deal. While in the humidor for about 10 minutes alone, I found a few cigars to purchase. I was taking notes on my phone, and the shop attendant entered the humidor. He seemed a little aggitated. Not sure if that was because I was taking notes on my phone or if he was just having a bad day. He basically asked, "Can I help you?" Their cigar selection was rather small with several empty boxes and empty shelves. But, when I asked, the attendee explained they had recently built some new shelving and were in the process of adding new selections. There were a lot of cigars that seemed to have dust film on them as well - which could have been from the recent renovation, the rotation of stock, or lack of ventilation. Couldn't quite give them a 5-star rating in the current condition, but I will definitely return and check them out again and give them another chance to update this review.
