Barley House Cleveland is that girl. My friend and I stopped in for Wednesday happy hour and were immediately wrapped in polished vibes, impeccable energy, and cocktails that understood luxury. The Strawberry Shortcake Martini was rich, silky, and indulgent in all the right ways, while The Cupid, thoughtfully curated by bar manager Brittany, was elegant, balanced, and absolutely unforgettable. The appetizers were beautifully done—flavor-forward, crave-worthy, and perfect for pairing—yet somehow the bill stayed refreshingly reasonable. Elevated cocktails, delicious bites, a buzzing atmosphere, and zero sticker shock? Rare. Iconic. Worth the hype. We need the night chatting it up with other guests at the cigar bar The Grotto located inside the Barley House. Barley House didn’t just deliver happy hour—it delivered an experience. We’ll be back, glam intact.

I visited here as part of the bar crawl USA & the vibes were fun. The staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean & even had an attendant at one point giving soap & paper towels. I'd come back here again for a night out.

I would not recommend this bar to anyone. The atmosphere felt unsafe, with frequent disruptive behavior and a lack of attention from management to maintain a comfortable environment for customers. The service was extremely disappointing—staff were inattentive, slow to respond, and seemed uninterested in helping guests. The food was equally underwhelming. It arrived cold, lacked flavor, and did not seem worth the price. Between the poor service, low-quality food, and concerns about safety, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a bar. It’s especially disappointing that a place like this continues to operate while offering such a poor experience. Cleveland has many great businesses and restaurants that take pride in providing quality food, service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It would be nice to see more establishments that reflect the best of the city rather than places that seem to stay open despite consistently disappointing customers. There are far better places in the area to spend your time and money.

My friends and I just tried to visit Barley House, and it was a frustrating experience. The doorman told us we weren’t allowed in because it was supposedly “pajama night” and we weren’t wearing pajamas. However, when we looked inside, plenty of people were clearly not wearing pajamas either. The whole interaction felt inconsistent and unprofessional. Instead of being honest about the reason we weren’t being let in, it seemed like an excuse was made on the spot. The doorman came across as unnecessarily confrontational and power-hungry, which made the experience even worse. If you’re going to have a dress code or themed night, enforce it fairly and consistently. Do better, be better.

We came for the Morgan wallen concert last summer and Risa was incredible. We had such a great time that we made sure for the post Malone concert we went back so she could serve us again. Best of the best!
