Let me tell you something. Of all the cigar lounges I’ve visited both here and abroad, this by far is the greatest. Freesia and Ron truly crafted a highly personalized experience that feels like home, and I was blown away by the passion and expertise that was placed behind the cigar. If you want to say “now that was a remarkable, tailored experience”, this is the place. True masters of their craft.

If you enjoy cigars, bourbon, and cocktails and you're in the Newport / Middletown area, you need to visit Breakwater Cigar & Whiskey Lounge. A tradeshow brought me and several friends to the area earlier this month. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Rudolfo, I knew this was going to be a great visit! Over the few days we were in the area, my friends and I enjoyed the lounge and great selection of cigars and bourbon. We even ordered wings and pizza from next door and enjoyed them right there in the lounge! Rudolfo was kind and welcomed us each visit. For me, the time we had at Breakwaters was the highlight of my trip to Rhode Island. Highly recommend!

This place was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. Starting with the cigar collection. Their humidor is HUGE and the selection of cigars is equally as large. There is something for everyone. The seats options were great. They had seating throughout some of it secluded for more intimate dates. The bar is huge, with ample seating as well. The bartender, I wish I had gotten her name was so nice. She made an amazing dark espresso martini (this side of the border) Prices are fair and the patrons were super friendly. You can definitely tell is a locals hang out and it didn't disappoint.

A fantastic cigar and whiskey lounge! The location is spacious and looks great, adding a great atmosphere for the patrons to enjoy. The staff are professional, courteous, and know their craft well. I brought a friend who is new to cigars, and they were generous with their knowledge and experience and helped him pair a drink with his cigar. After enjoying my first cigar, I was advised to try one I had never tried before and very much enjoyed what was recommended. The walk-in humidor is one of the best I have ever seen, and their selection is teaming with cigars for all tastes and budgets. I recommend Breakwaters to anyone who enjoys cigars or wants to delve deeper into the hobby.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great selection of spirits & cigars. Great spot to relax with a delicious cocktail & Cigar. Always a friendly crowd, Great events & pairings. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a cigar lounge on Aquidneck Island.
