What a Surprise! If, from the street, you thought this was another typical vape shop, you would be wrong. This small shop is jammed full of tobacco products and I think tobacco consumes the bulk of the space. There is a cigar humidor along one wall up front and then throughout the store you can find seemingly any other tobacco product you might want. Of course there has to be some vape stuff as well. I came in on a Friday afternoon and Adnan immediately greeted me and was friendly and attentive. I told him I was interested in Pipe Tobacco and he directed me to the back left corner. After he finished with another customer he came back to see if he could help me. For a store like this there is a shocking variety of packaged Pipe Tobacco. Tins of premium MacBaren, Stanwell, Peterson, CAO, 4th Generation, etc. and a selection of pouches, jars/cans, and bags. There were over 40 separate pipe tobaccos to be selected from and that is discounting duplicates like your typical codgers that were available in both pouch and can. Adnan told me that his stock was kind of low at the moment, noting the empty shelf space for the Cornell and Diehl and GL Pease cans that he would typically keep stocked. Everything was competitively priced. There are no bulk tobacco blends, but this is simply not that type of store. This is very much a package store with good service. It was clear from watching him interact with customers that he knows his regulars and their 'usual'. The store has a selection of Dr Grabow and other budget briar pipes to get you started or if you find yourself suddenly without. Of course there are accessories like pipe tools and lighters as well. Adnan mentioned that he is happy to check with his suppliers if you are looking for something particular or to include your favorite in his next order. If you are on the west side of town, just inside the Grand Parkway, south of I10 on Mason Road I encourage you to stop in and support this local business.

3 stars because they don't carry the brand I smoke and have raised prices every time I visit. They do have a wide variety of smokes and disposable e cigarettes. All other stuff which you expect on a smoke shop is available too but prices seems to be negotiable and not fixed to be competitive or cheap. I think they tend to raise the price a little more when they see you pulling out a credit card. On cash they may give a discounted price. Overall a nice and clean shop with polite staff.

We've been coming to this store for quite some time to purchase Marlboro cigarettes. Last time I was in the car so he bought my regulars along with a pack of Seneca. The gentleman said that if I try them & like them he'd exchange the Marlboro carton for the Seneca and give me the $24 difference in cash! They taste remarkably like the ones I've! always used. What did I have to lose? He quickly made the switch and hande6me my $24 so I went to a great lunch! All of the men are so friendly and helpful and I always try to come here to restock.

There’s an older gentleman there who ALWAYS tries charging more than the other person that runs this place. It’s mind blowing. He, LITERALLY, tries to charge a dollar or two more. Like I don’t remember how much I was charged last time. I call him out on it and he changes the price to what I was previously charged. I don’t understand why he even tries! 🤦🏼‍♂️ This place would be the best if it wasn’t for him. They have a great selection and USUALLY the best prices. It just depends on who you get to check you out.

Home to one of the largest selections of tobacco products in the Katy Area. They also have some of the lowest prices. Don't smoke ? They also have a selection of drinks and candy in case you are thirsty or in search of a snack. The staff of this family owned business practice customer service like they invented it. They are always friendly. Know their product extremely well, and are always ready with a relaible suggestion if you are not sure what you want or want to try something new. If you are a regular you can expect them to remember not only your name, but your regular brand, and if it has come up in conversation even where you work. Count on them asking about your day. On a recent visit I even saw the owner out front with a leaf blower cleaning their portion of the sidewalk and parking lot. He was doing this not only as a service to his customers, but as he told me because of the level of pride he had in his business and its customers. Katy is lucky to be the home of a wealth of outstanding family owned businesses, Tobacco Express is definately one of the top of that heap !
