TLDR - Don’t go here, or at least do not use your card here. Went to this location on July 3rd, made a purchase of $44 and change. The employee was having difficulties checking me out, their register failed to complete the transaction, after 3 attempts, they moved me to another register and reattempted the transaction, where it went through on the first try. Later on, I had received a notification from my banking app, informing me that there was a duplicate transaction. I checked and saw there were two back to back transactions from this location for the same amount, $44.46 . I called the store to inform them. The manager I spoke with told me they had some software change of some sort and they were expecting there to be issues and not to worry, reassuring me that it would probably fall off of my account once it posted. But if not, that I could call or come in and receive a refund for the duplicate charge. Following his advice, I waited for the transaction to officially post and Jo longer be “pending”. Sure enough, it was indeed a duplicate charge. I went in person to the location and spoke to another associate who told me they couldn’t help because they didn’t know how to issue a refund and that I needed to come in the following day. I went to my bank and had them print out my transaction history showing the dates and amounts, so I could bring it back with me. Well, today I went back in and was met with skepticism and a plethora of excuses, most of which didn’t make sense, eventually having to leave the store before losing my temper. Quite frustrated, I left the shop and went back to my bank. After explaining everything to them, they disputed the charge for me. They couldn’t believe the ridiculous excuses the manager gave. I had called the store in Lexington multiple times, I have been extremely patient and forthcoming in an attempt to resolve this. This business had absolutely zero intention of doing the right thing and was more than happy to show me the door after taking my money. Do yourself a favor and do not spend your money here. If you have no other choice. Bring cash. Don’t be foolish enough to trust them or their equipment with your card.

Staff is always super nice and very helpful and a friendly atmosphere. Great prices and varieties to choose from. Fur babies welcome 😊. Botany bay is the best for all your herbal needs.

I used to be a really regular customer but they’ve lost me atp. How can you claim to be a business that supports art/artists when you use an INSANE amount of ai art in your website revamp and flyers? This is so disappointing. You should have hired an actual artist. You are right next to EKU where there are a ton of talented art students/alumni who would’ve been happy to help a small business and would have worked within a reasonable budget. Do better. Edit: Since the owner is claiming they only use it once or twice it posters- here’s their website. They used the most blatant and ugly ai slop possible to advertise their business. (And not everyone uses ai art btw, just the morally bankrupt people who don’t appreciate the arts and would rather use ai that destroys the environment and that steals from artists)

I love this place!! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I love hanging around and having conversations with them. They are knowledgeable about the products that they sell. There are so many neat and awesome things in there too. They aren't just a head shop. They have crystals and gems, herbs, incense, books, posters, clothes, artwork, and so much more!!! Their prices are all pretty reasonable on their stuff too. I would recommend this place to anyone, its one of my most favorite places to visit!!
