This a great spot! The humidor needs deep cleaning and better humidity. The cigar selection could be improved by having more boutique brands instead of the same boring legacy cigars on the shelf.

I happen to be across tge street when I saw John's place. I checked him out and he stopped mdm i promised him Id come back next time. 2 weeks later I was back. John is socialable but straight foward. I asked is the bathroom was here he said no thsts the basement. Youre welcome to go check it out. (I like the humor) I replied only in you hide the bodies there. John has a good variety of stick it seems ventilated and comfortable. It has a few drinks and if thats no enough other places have them. Im very son John will get you his feedback. I checked out the other places and this one felt better suited fot me

Wow! This place is a national treasure..! Quite possibly the most friendly and relaxing cigar shop in Virginia..? Nestled in the historic district of Old Town and in immediate proximity to righteous attractions and food in the area. Your time in Old Town should either begin or end with a smoke at John Crouch!!

Awesome place to buy cigars and smoke them. I discovered this shop two years ago while traveling for work. I traveled this year for work and spent every night here hanging out with Tom, Gary, and Brian. Great guys. I also want to say big thanks to the owners, John and Dennis (enjoy the bourbon and rum). If you are in Alexandria and need cigars, this is the place to get them.

I visit a lot of cigar lounges in the area and was looking forward to trying this one with a group of friends. Unfortunately, our first impression wasn’t great. We had a party of four, but the table only had three chairs. When one of us tried to bring over another chair, the employee raised his voice at us instead of calmly explaining if there was a policy. I immediately apologized, and we decided to leave making a purchase. I respect that every lounge has its own rules, but a little courtesy would have made the situation much different.
